How we picked (and who we left out)

Every agency here had to pass three tests: it still exists as an agency in 2026, it names restaurants or takeaways as a core market on its own site, and at least one fact about it can be verified independently — a Companies House record, a published price list, a named founder, or a named client result.

That ruled out several names you'll see on other "top 10" lists. Vertical Leap was folded into the enterprise group GAIN in April 2025 and no longer exists as a brand. NUOPTIMA now markets itself exclusively to IT managed-service providers; its restaurant page was last updated in February 2024. Foodhub for Business offers marketing, but as a feature of a commission-based marketplace, which is the opposite of what most takeaways are trying to escape. Malou is software, not an agency. And Dineohub advertises "500+ restaurants served" and "£15M+ revenue generated" with no named client, case study or founder anywhere on its site, so we couldn't verify anything.

The list

1. Restaurant Genie — best for transparent pricing

Bedford · restaurants first, takeaways too · from £499/month

Restaurant Genie is the only agency in this list, other than us, with a full public rate card: Essentials from £499 a month (managing up to £1,000 of ad spend), Premium from £1,999 and Enterprise from £2,999, plus photography from £500 and social packages from around £900. It's Meta Blueprint accredited and a Google Partner, claims 60,000 bookings facilitated since 2016, and has a strong South Asian restaurant client base (Tamarind, Chaat Haus, Cinnamon Lodge, Deshi Spice).

Watch for: the "100% of clients reach page one" claim is not something anyone can verify. The £499 tier excludes ad spend, so budget £1,000–£1,500 all-in.

2. Intrinsic Marketing — best for restaurant SEO with real numbers

London (Companies House: Lancing, West Sussex) · restaurants, bars, pubs · from around £1,000/month

Intrinsic is unusual in reporting branded and unbranded search traffic separately — the honest way to measure restaurant SEO — and publishes named results: The Mantl (20× unbranded search traffic), Black Penny (+66% unbranded clicks a day), Temper (+65% non-brand organic). It explicitly warns clients away from page-one guarantees, which we respect. Incorporated October 2021.

Watch for: a London sit-down portfolio (Soho, Mayfair, Knightsbridge) and a £1,000-a-month floor. Not built for a single-site takeaway.

3. SideDish Media — best Google Partner agency for London venues

Soho, London · restaurants, bars, cafés, dark kitchens · pricing not published

Founded in 2017 by Andrew Nicholas and Matt Goodfield, SideDish carries the Google Partner badge and works with a premium London list: Ikoyi, Lima, Frog by Adam Handling, Pastaio, Nam Long. Services run the full stack — local SEO, Google Ads, Meta and TikTok, UGC and influencer, web.

Watch for: no published pricing and no takeaway case studies. If you run a curry house in Bradford, this isn't your agency.

4. Snack London — best full-service option run by an operator

Covent Garden, London · cafés, bars, restaurants, hotels, dark kitchens · pricing not published

Founded in 2018 by Mark McManus, who previously worked with LEON, Ole & Steen and JKS Restaurants, Snack is a genuine hospitality-insider agency. Clients include Temper, Ole & Steen, Swiss Butter and Martello Hall; testimonials cite "page 9 to page 1 on Google" and tripled private-hire bookings. The agency is rebranding to Snack Hospitality and expanding to Europe, the US and Dubai.

Watch for: group and brand-led portfolio; international expansion means an independent UK takeaway is not the priority client.

5. Eat Marketing — best for branding and packaging by ex-operators

Coventry · independent food businesses, street food, producers, takeaways · project-based

Theo and Maria ran food businesses themselves before starting Eat Marketing over ten years ago, and it shows in the work: brand strategy, packaging design, launch campaigns and photography for FryHaus, The Nook, Stokes Coffee and Platten's, with award logos including the National Fish & Chip Awards 2024.

Watch for: this is a brand and design agency more than a performance one. If you need orders next month rather than a rebrand next quarter, look elsewhere on this list.

6. Revenue Kitchen — best for cutting delivery-app commission

Banbury · restaurants and takeaways turning over £250k+ · pricing not published

Danny Saghir runs a real takeaway — Original Gyro Smash in Banbury, which he says does over £1M a year with zero third-party apps — and consults on exactly that: revenue-leak audits, menu mix, order-channel rebalancing and Meta paid social. Ten years in marketing before that.

Watch for: effectively a one-person consultancy with one (own-venue) case study and a £250k revenue floor. Excellent fit if you qualify; not a full-service agency.

7. ZPos — best for ordering, EPoS and marketing from one supplier

Bracknell, Berkshire · takeaways and restaurants · £99 website setup; marketing bundled

ZPos (registered 2013, founders Afshin Setareh and Adam Watkins) is primarily a technology vendor — its own EPoS and online-ordering stack, with marketing as an add-on: SMS campaigns, printed menus and flyers, an "Essentials SEO" package included free with an ordering website (valued at £150 a month), and support in 12+ languages. No contracts.

Watch for: the entry tier offers "a low commission on online sales" as an alternative to a fixed fee — read the terms. Marketing is an upsell to the platform, not the core business, and there are no case studies.

8. Quarx Digital — best for the North

Sheffield (also Leeds, Manchester) · restaurants and takeaways · pricing not published

A restaurant-only agency with a Northern footprint, covering SEO, PPC, social, reputation management, email, food photography and video. Positions itself as "a team of young professionals" and reports through Google Analytics.

Watch for: no founder, founding year, results or pricing on the site — the proof is thin. Ask for two references before signing.

9. Wired Media — best web-first agency with a long track record

Bristol (offices in Cardiff, Exeter, Bath, Plymouth, Gloucester) · multi-sector, with restaurant and takeaway pages · pricing not published

Founded in 2000 by Tom Beasley, Wired Media is the most established business on this list and a solid choice if the website is the problem: design, hosting, local SEO, PPC and CRO under one roof, across the South West and Wales.

Watch for: a generalist whose takeaway page is a sector template — the only hospitality case study is Butcombe Brewery. Good agency, not a specialist.

10. Manto Marketing — best for independents who want a specialist and a straight price

UK-wide · restaurants and takeaways only · from £399/month, no setup fee, no contract

That's us, so here's the same scrutiny. Founded in 2026 by a software engineer, Manto only works with independent restaurants and takeaways and runs a different playbook for each: takeaways get local search, Google Maps, AI-search visibility and peak-window ads aimed at direct orders; restaurants get bookings, reviews and seasonal campaigns. Three packages are published in full (£399, £699, £1,199 a month), the client owns every asset, and the team speaks English, Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, Pashto, Bengali, Hindi and Turkish. We also build the software — Manto Order (online ordering and EPOS with no commission) and Manto Tap (NFC review cards) — rather than reselling someone else's.

Watch for: we are the youngest business on this list, with the shortest public track record. We don't yet carry a Google Partner badge, and our case studies are still being written. If you want a decade of logos, pick number 9; if you want the only agency here built around takeaways and AI search, you're already reading it.

Honourable mentions

Propeller (London and New York, established 2001) is the strongest hospitality digital agency in the UK for groups — JW Lees, Young's, Zizzi, Hall & Woodhouse — and the natural next step if you grow to five or more sites. Malou (from €169 per location per month) is self-serve local-SEO and review software for owners who'd rather run it themselves than hire anyone.

How to choose between them

We'll update this list as agencies change — and we'll say so at the top when we do. If you think we've got something wrong about your agency, email hello@mantomarketing.com and we'll check it and correct it.
